Yay for the long weekend! I am extra excited for this long weekend, as I thought it was much later in June, until a colleague reminded me on Wednesday! Because it crept up on me, I don’t actually have too much planned.
Given we are half way through the year, I thought this weekend would be a good time to check in with my goals, desires and dreams for 2014. In January, I bought Leonie Dawson’s Create Your Amazing Year – Life Edition. It took me until March to actually complete the whole thing, but at least it was still within the first quarter of the year….
One of the best parts about this workbook is the monthly calendars, which I like to keep on my fridge. Each month you choose an essence that you want to experience. Mine so far have been rejuvenation, peace, commitment out of love for myself, calmness & ease, abundance, and compassion. This is something I had never really thought to consider, and there are certainly days when I forget this essence, but on the days I do remember, it helps to set the tone for the day.
One of my other favourites is the list of 100 Things To Do in 2014. I only managed to think of 18 things when I completed the book, so I will review this list to see what I can tick off and what new things I can add. Given we are already have way through the year, I might have to ramp up the speed dial if I want to reach 100!
Today’s post is short and sweet, with a clear message to you to give yourself permission this weekend to spend some quiet time daydreaming and pondering the wonderful and amazing things you want to do with your life and the steps you can take during the second half of this year to bring you closer to achieving your goals and dreams.
